Job Summary
This position offers a highly motivated scientist the opportunity to pursue a doctorate within a research team focused on innate immune response and epidermal wound healing using the *Drosophila* genetic model organism. The role involves applying experimental *Drosophila* genetics, modern biochemistry, cell biology, and high-resolution imaging techniques (SDM, SIM, CLSM, Light-Sheet Microscopy) to decipher conserved mechanisms of interaction between epithelial and infiltrating immune cells. Candidates should possess a natural science degree, a strong interest in independent scientific work, and be team-oriented. The position provides a supportive environment for scientific development, access to advanced technologies, and an excellent research infrastructure.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Diploma, Master, or equivalent) in Biology, Molecular Medicine, Biochemistry, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in scientific research
- Experience with *Drosophila* crossing experiments (desirable)
- Experience with light microscopy methods (desirable)
