Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher position at Philipps-Universität Marburg, within the Institute for Systems Immunology, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge DFG-funded research on the IL-23/IL-23R axis in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The role involves in-depth functional and phenotypic analysis of IL-23R on T-cell populations, utilizing established PDAC animal models and advanced immunological and molecular biological methods. You will be responsible for scientific research, manuscript and grant writing, data analysis and interpretation, and mentoring students. This is an ideal role for a highly motivated individual with expertise in tumor and T-cell biology, seeking to advance their scientific qualifications in a state-of-the-art research environment with access to high-dimensional flow cytometry, single-cell technologies, and advanced bioinformatics.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma, Master or equivalent) in Tumor Biology, Medical Biology, Immunobiology or similar, and a PhD or proof of a nearly completed PhD

Experience

  • Professional experience in tumor (PDAC mouse models) and T-cell research
  • Experience in flow cytometry (FACS) and T-cell transcriptome analysis
  • Experience in animal experimentation (FELASA certification desirable)
