Job Summary

The City of Leverkusen is seeking a Property Manager to actively shape urban development within its Finance Department. This role involves independently negotiating purchase, exchange, and acquisition contracts for properties, managing existing and establishing new hereditary building rights, and modernizing current leasehold agreements to ensure future viability. The successful candidate will lead significant projects, engaging with various stakeholders including administrative units, investors, and authorities. They will also be responsible for maintaining and developing the city's geoinformation systems and representing the department in committees. Required Skills

Education

Eligibility for career group 2.1 or completion of Administrative Course II or a related university degree (Diploma (FH) or Bachelor) in legal, administrative, or economic sciences or completion of the first legal state examination or a degree as a certified lawyer or a comparable business qualification at European Qualification Framework Level 6 (e.g., state-certified real estate specialists)

Experience

  • Professional experience in a relevant environment (e.g., real estate industry, notary services, public legal administration)
  • Foundational knowledge in drafting property purchase agreements
  • Foundational knowledge in land registry law issues
