Job Summary

The City of Leverkusen is seeking a competent Internal Audit Officer to join its Social Services department. This full-time, two-year fixed-term role involves critically examining all payment transactions, both in content and monetary value, and providing legal advice and support to the department. A key part of the role is clarifying and processing cost reimbursements with external organizations, such as women's shelters. The officer will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with anti-corruption guidelines and monitoring their implementation, as well as handling appeals and evaluating current legal rulings. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal knowledge in social law, work independently, and demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.

Required Skills

Education

• Completion of Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II) or • University degree (Diplom (FH) or Bachelor) in Law or Business Administration or • Completion of the First State Examination in Law (I. juristisches Staatsexamen) or a degree as a Diplom-Jurist*in

Experience

  • Professional experience in legal or administrative roles
  • Experience in reviewing financial transactions and ensuring compliance
  • Experience in advising on legal matters and handling appeals
