Job Summary

This doctoral research position at Philipps-Universität Marburg offers a unique opportunity for a motivated scientist to pursue a Ph.D. in Molecular Animal Physiology. The role involves establishing and maintaining insect model organisms, developing advanced molecular protocols like mRNA injection and potentially transgenesis, and meticulously documenting wild-type embryogenesis using modern fluorescence microscopy. A significant part of the work will include image data processing, analysis, and modeling, as well as repeating experiments under varied environmental conditions to compare with wild-type development. The successful candidate will contribute to scientific publications and engage in independent research, benefiting from the university's support for early-career researchers.
