Job Summary

Join a major renovation project in Basel as the Building Safety Officer, acting as the crucial safety interface between the large construction site and the operating organization, specifically within a chemical/pharmaceutical production environment. You will be responsible for supporting the existing SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) team, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant safety regulations, and issuing necessary work permits to external contractors. Key duties include participating in coordination meetings and conducting regular safety inspections. This role demands substantial experience in managing safety on large construction projects, particularly within GMP-relevant facilities. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, maintain composure under pressure, and apply a critical, solution-oriented mindset. This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of transitioning into the permanent operating organization upon project completion.
