Job Summary

This role involves leading the internal audit department within the Federal Office of Administration (BVA), a key federal authority in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, planning and executing audits, identifying and evaluating risks across systems and processes, and defining audit priorities. A core part of the role is to generate audit reports, track corrective actions, and provide expert advice to the agency's leadership on audit assignments, internal control systems, and compliance. The position also entails continuously developing internal standards, methods, and tools for internal auditing. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master or equivalent, e.g., MPA, MPM, MBA) in Economics or Administrative Sciences; or Civil Servant (A 13h to A 14 BBesO) in non-technical administrative service.

Experience

  • Professional experience in audit techniques and standards (advantageous)
  • Professional experience in interview techniques (advantageous)
  • Professional experience in audit standards (advantageous)
