Job Summary

This role as a Specialist for 5G/6G Infrastructure Security at Germany's Federal Cybersecurity Authority (BSI) offers a chance to shape the nation's secure digital future. Based in Freital, you will be instrumental in the development and management of the dedicated 5G/6G Security Laboratory. Day-to-day responsibilities include crucial controlling tasks related to lab and project financing, steering specific procurements, and ensuring the technical currency of hardware and software. A core technical duty involves the autonomous maintenance and operation of an isolated, Linux-based Data Center supporting the lab’s base operations. Furthermore, you will contribute to ongoing threat analysis by continuously monitoring IT security incidents within the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related technical field, coupled with relevant experience in project administration, financial control, and procurement. Success requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning, all while contributing to vital national security mandates.
