Job Summary

This role involves serving as a specialist in technical and structural fire protection within the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), focusing on ensuring the operational readiness and safety of various properties across Germany. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating and monitoring the maintenance of critical safety systems such as fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and fire doors. The expert will guarantee the flawless condition of all fire protection components, actively support fire prevention inspections, and independently implement resulting measures. They will also provide expert consultation during structural modifications to ensure compliance with fire safety concepts and norms, while maintaining meticulous fire protection documentation. The ideal candidate has a technical background (e.g., Electrician or Mechatronics Technician) and relevant expertise in both structural and technical fire safety.

Required Skills

Education

Completed three-year apprenticeship/training in a technical profession (preferably Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, or HVAC Systems Mechanic)

Experience

  • Professional experience in a technical profession (Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, or HVAC Systems Mechanic)
  • Relevant professional knowledge in technical and structural fire protection (desirable)
  • Experience in coordinating and monitoring maintenance of safety-critical systems
  • Experience in supporting and implementing measures from fire prevention inspections
