Job Summary
This role involves the crucial maintenance, control, and supervision of surface drainage systems and water bodies (rivers, ponds) in the city of Bochum, aligning with the "Sponge City" planning ideal. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring water quality, promoting biodiversity, and maintaining the functionality of these systems in compliance with water law. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and coordinating the resolution of operational disruptions and environmental issues, as well as assisting with cost estimation, preparation, monitoring, measurement, control, and acceptance of ongoing operational, maintenance, and repair measures. This position offers a varied and engaging work environment within a supportive team dedicated to innovative urban development concepts, including a three-month introductory program to familiarize you with all departmental areas.
Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician or Master Craftsman in Water Management, Hydraulic Engineering, and/or Civil Engineering, or a comparable field
