Job Summary
This role is for a Bioinformatician to join the Institute of Reproductive Genetics at UKM, focusing on a significant project to develop a non-hormonal contraceptive. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing algorithms and pipelines for the analysis of genomic sequencing data, including methylome data, from over 4,000 male genomes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of research and diagnostics within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to an unprecedented dataset for reproductive research. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bioinformatics or computer science, with proven experience in next-generation sequencing data analysis and solid programming skills, bringing a responsible and results-oriented approach to this challenging and exciting medical environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or a related subject; a doctorate is desirable
Experience
- Relevant experience in the analysis of next-generation sequencing data
