Job Summary

This role is a fixed-term, three-year position as a PhD Student/Medical Informatician within the Institute of Medical Informatics, focusing on the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre 1748, Principles of Reproduction. The successful candidate will join the Medical Data Integration Center (MeDIC) research group to conduct scientific research in a large-scale, interdisciplinary project. Key responsibilities include analyzing requirements, conceptualizing, designing, and implementing the Fertility Data and Collaboration Hub (FeDCH), and ensuring compliance with legal, data protection, and IT security standards for data sharing. The position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, or a related field, coupled with knowledge of database systems, data integration, and programming skills (ideally Java/Kotlin).
