Job Summary
This role supports a research group leader in particle physics at DESY, a leading international research center focused on understanding matter from subatomic particles to the building blocks of life. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive scientific and administrative assistance, including strategic planning, budget control, and managing external funding acquisition. Key responsibilities also involve organizing meetings, preparing presentations and reports, and supporting internal and external communication efforts. The position requires strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and excellent communication abilities in both German and English, contributing to a dynamic and internationally networked research environment.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree, preferably in Physics; PhD is advantageous
Experience
- Experience in acquiring third-party funding is desirable
- Experience in writing well-structured, high-quality (scientific) texts and applications
Languages
Additional
- This is a part-time position (19.5 hours/week) for a fixed term of 3 years. Mobile work is possible for up to 50% of the time.
