Job Summary

This role involves comprehensive laboratory management and detailed processing of bacteriological samples within the Veterinary Diagnostics and Epidemiology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for general lab organization, including ordering supplies, disposal, cleaning, and disinfection. Key tasks include precise sample preparation, inoculation of various culture media, incubation, and the creation of stained preparations for veterinary evaluation. A strong focus on quality assurance is required, involving the creation and maintenance of equipment and QM manuals, device calibration, and participation in proficiency testing. The position also includes duties in central sample reception, such as handling courier materials, identity checks, and preparing samples for PCR.
