Job Summary

This role involves specialized laboratory work focusing on implementing and conducting advanced analytics for food safety and contaminant detection, primarily based in Rostock, Germany. The Laboratory Engineer will be instrumental in assisting with the implementation of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analysis for food ingredients, including sample preparation, running NMR tests for authenticity (identity, quality, origin), and developing food-specific reference databases. Day-to-day tasks also include performing residue analysis using LC-MS devices on food, feed, and cosmetic samples, evaluating and documenting measurement data, and ensuring strict adherence to Quality Management (QM) requirements. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a comparable field, proven experience operating and applying NMR technology, and proficiency in statistical and database programs. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until December 31, 2027, offering an engaging role in public service.
