Job Summary

The Technical Relief Organization (THW) is seeking two dedicated Electrical Engineering Instructors for their Hoya training center. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and practical training in electrical engineering, preparing and setting up training materials, and evaluating courses. You will also contribute to the creation and digitization of learning materials. This position offers the opportunity to work within a unique humanitarian organization, supporting its voluntary efforts through education. Ideal candidates will possess strong electrical engineering qualifications, pedagogical skills, and a willingness to engage with the THW's mission, including occasional travel and participation in operational duties. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stability and opportunities for professional development.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, Building System Technology, Operational Technology OR completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering (e.g., Electrician specializing in Energy and Building Technology, Electrician for Building System Technology, Electrician for Operational Technology).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or related fields (Energy and Building Technology, Building System Technology, Operational Technology)
  • Experience in preparing and setting up training and auxiliary materials
  • Experience in evaluating and post-processing courses
  • Experience in creating and updating teaching and learning documents
  • Understanding of the concerns of a volunteer-based aid organization
  • Willingness to undertake well-planned business trips
  • Willingness to participate in basic training and be available outside normal working hours if required (e.g., in case of emergency)
  • Willingness to participate in the leadership and coordination staff (LuK)
  • Willingness to wear service/operational clothing on certain occasions
