Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the operational readiness and safety of electrical equipment for the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), a vital organization providing technical, logistical, and humanitarian aid in emergencies. The Electrical Engineering Inspector will conduct regular inspections, functional tests, and expert assessments of electronic equipment, contributing to the maintenance and proper utilization of essential gear during exercises and deployments. Key responsibilities include managing inventory, performing minor repairs, and providing training to volunteers on equipment handling and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical trades, a solid understanding of relevant safety regulations, and a willingness to work flexibly, including during emergencies, to support THW's critical mission.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training of at least 3 years in an electrical trade

Experience

  • Professional experience in an electrical trade
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Industrial Safety Ordinance, Accident Prevention Regulations, Technical Rules for Industrial Safety, DGUV, BGR, DIN standards, manufacturer specifications)
  • Experience in leading and coordinating tasks (LuK staff)
