Job Summary
This role is for a Quality Assurance and Test Automation Expert within the "Basic Register for Companies: IT Project Department" (I15) at the Federal Statistical Office in Germany. The expert will be a key contact for QA tools, contribute expertise in test automation, and expand the department's capabilities in this area. Day-to-day tasks involve advising and supporting system, system integration, and acceptance tests for IT applications, as well as actively shaping the methodological development of the department. This position is attractive due to its contribution to the digitalization of administrative services in Germany, offering a chance to work with modern QA practices like continuous testing and advanced test automation frameworks.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent (Diplom-Uni./Magister) in a MINT field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, and Technology) or a related field providing relevant expertise. ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level is an advantage.
Experience
- Professional experience with current methods, techniques, and tools for software quality assurance and test automation
- Practical experience in the conception and planning of automated software tests

Additional
- Temporary position for 24 months (without objective reason). Located in Bonn or Wiesbaden. Willingness to acquire knowledge and qualifications in information security if not already possessed.
