Job Summary

This role is a unique opportunity for an experienced IT leader to shape and manage a critical new group within a federal statistical office. As Head of IT, you will oversee all IT tasks related to technical support for data collection, data editing, and plausibility checks for the statistical production process. This includes technical conception, development, and provision of online reporting procedures and processing methods. You will drive the use of modern software development standards and efficient test automation, ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of IT procedures under high security requirements. The position involves leading and developing a team of approximately 70 employees across two locations, managing complex software development and system integration projects, and collaborating with external IT service providers.
