Job Summary

This role involves conducting essential laboratory and field work for a research project focused on adapting caraway cultivation to climate change in Germany. The successful candidate will perform molecular biological tasks like DNA/RNA extraction and sequencing preparation, conduct content analyses including extractions and distillations, and carry out plant crossings. Day-to-day activities also include supporting the planting, care, and harvesting of field and greenhouse trials, as well as preparing seed samples and documenting data using MS Office. The position requires a background in technical assistance or biological laboratory work, significant experience in managing lab and field experiments, and a foundational understanding of plant breeding methods.
