Job Summary
This role is for a Technical Employee within the Authorized Bavarian Agency, focusing on user management for the Digital Radio for Public Safety Organizations (BOS). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, testing, piloting, and implementing end-device releases for TETRA radios, as well as commissioning and administering software tools for updating BOS digital radio end devices. Key responsibilities include providing 2nd-level support for update systems and digital radio end devices through error analysis and user support, acting as a point of contact for 3rd-level support (device manufacturers), and creating test plans and procedures. The position also involves analyzing, reviewing, coordinating, and approving end-device parameters, conducting quality assurance, and serving as a liaison for internal projects and IT partners. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's / Diploma Engineer (FH) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field; OR completed technical vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist, IT Systems Electronics Technician)
Experience
- Professional experience in IT or electronics, ideally with further training as a state-certified technician
- Experience in specification, documentation, testing, and acceptance of software products (desirable)
- Basic knowledge and/or prior experience in TETRA, mobile, or analog radio (desirable)
- Experience with Public Safety Organizations (BOS) (desirable)
