Job Summary

The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office is seeking two IT Criminal Investigators to join their team in Munich starting May 1, 2026. In this role, you will independently investigate cases of computer and internet crime, leveraging your specialized IT expertise to analyze digital traces and secure evidence. You will also support colleagues in traditional criminal cases, such as drug offenses, fraud, violent crimes, and terrorism. This position involves conducting interrogations, participating in searches, and contributing to crime prevention and public relations efforts. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in IT-related fields, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This challenging and varied role offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility within the public service, along with opportunities for professional development.

Required Skills

Education

University or university of applied sciences degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science (all specializations), Information and Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering, Business and IT Security, or a comparable degree with coursework in databases, programming, algorithms. Degree must have at least 180 ECTS points.
