This role is for a Technical Staff member within the Authorized Bavarian Agency, focusing on user management for the Digital Radio for Authorities and Organizations with Security Tasks (BOS). The successful candidate will be based in Königsbrunn and play a crucial role in preparing, testing, piloting, and implementing end-device releases for TETRA radio equipment. Key responsibilities include administering software tools for device updates, providing 2nd level support through error analysis and user assistance, and acting as a liaison for 3rd-level support and internal projects. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work with complex technical systems within an innovative police authority, ensuring optimal and rapid communication for approximately 500,000 emergency responders in Bavaria.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's / Diploma Engineer (FH) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field, OR a completed technical vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist or IT Systems Electronics Technician)

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT or electronics, ideally with further training as a state-certified technician
  • Experience in specification, documentation, testing, and acceptance of software products (desirable)
  • Basic knowledge and/or prior experience in TETRA, mobile, or analog radio (desirable)
  • Experience with BOS (Authorities and Organizations with Security Tasks) activities (e.g., voluntary fire brigade, rescue service, disaster control) (desirable)
