Job Summary
The City of Münster is seeking a dedicated Head of Human Resources and Organizational Affairs for its Fire Department. This pivotal role involves managing all HR matters for both civil servants and employees, overseeing the staffing plan, and actively participating in personnel planning, selection processes, and job description creation. You will lead a team of six, ensuring smooth operations and fostering knowledge management within the department. As a central point of contact, you will advise staff and management on HR, organizational, labor law, and data protection issues, while also optimizing internal processes. This position offers the chance to contribute to the city's growth and high quality of life, with opportunities for project leadership and crisis management responsibilities.
Required Skills
Education
Qualification for general administrative service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt) or completion of Verwaltungslehrgang II, OR a relevant Bachelor's/Diploma (FH) degree.
Experience
- At least two years of professional experience in public administration (if holding a relevant Bachelor's/Diploma degree)
- At least three years of experience in positions equivalent to salary group A 11 or pay grade 10
Languages
Additional
- Must demonstrate sufficient measles vaccination or immunity (Masernschutzgesetz). Position can be full-time or part-time. Ability to take on leadership roles in crisis coordination groups or departmental functional assurance in emergencies. Participate in and process incidents of violence against emergency personnel in the IMEG reporting system.
