The City of Herne is seeking an IT System Administrator to join its newly established Digitalization Department. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be crucial in maintaining and developing the city's communication infrastructure. Your daily tasks will involve administering and securing email systems, managing collaboration and video conferencing tools, and overseeing mobile device management. You will also be responsible for user account administration, contributing to IT projects, and meticulously documenting system configurations. Required Skills

  • Professional experience in the administration of complex IT system landscapes, ideally in communication solutions
  • Practical experience in server virtualization
  • Practical experience in the conception and operation of mail infrastructures
  • Practical experience in directory services (Active Directory)
  • Active participation in IT projects (desirable)
