Job Summary

The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) is seeking an IT Specialist to serve as an Information Security Officer in Bonn. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing robust information security concepts based on BSI IT-Grundschutz, conducting security and risk analyses, and proactively managing the organization's IT security. You will also provide expert advice on security-relevant IT topics, analyze security incidents, and support audits and security reviews. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national crisis management, working within an interdisciplinary team to enhance Germany's resilience. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant IT degree, practical experience in information security, and strong communication skills, with a commitment to continuous learning and a willingness to undergo security clearance.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a comparable field with an information technology focus.

Experience

  • 3 years of practical experience in IT, business informatics, electrical engineering, or telecommunications
  • Professional experience in IT security concept development and implementation
  • Experience in conducting security and risk analyses
  • Experience in handling local security incidents and warnings
  • Experience in supporting audits and security reviews
