Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in shaping Germany's secure digital future, specifically within the "Trend Analysis, Research Strategy, and Cybersecurity Research" department. The officer will contribute to the establishment and operation of the National Coordination Center for European research projects (NKCS), implement funding programs like Digital Europe and Horizon Europe, and help build a robust European Cybersecurity Community. Key responsibilities include fostering common positions among national and European stakeholders, developing consultation processes, and creating engaging communication and marketing content for the NKCS. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with strong IT security knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset, eager to contribute to cutting-edge cybersecurity research and policy.

Required Skills

Education

University Diploma/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Management, Administrative or Business Informatics, Business Mathematics, or a comparable relevant field with an IT/technical focus. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Political Science or Media Management with an IT focus.

Additional

  • Temporary contract for 5 years. Willingness to participate in further training and occasional business trips. Consent to an extended security clearance check (SÜG § 9) is required, which must not result in a security risk. For foreign educational qualifications, proof of equivalence with a German degree from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is required.
