Job Summary

This postdoctoral position within the European Horizon 2024 NEOLIVER project focuses on developing automated bioprinted liver constructs for transplantation. The successful candidate will primarily work on microfluidics and bioprinting, utilizing CFD/FEM simulation software like Ansys CFX, Fluent, or COMSOL to design and optimize microfluidic chips for generating microgels and capsule microgels. Key responsibilities include planning and executing simulations and experiments, fabricating and testing microfluidic chips, and developing scalable, automated chip designs under GMP-compliant conditions. The role also involves actively contributing to the research group, mentoring PhD students, and presenting findings at international conferences and in high-impact journals. Required Skills

Education

Doctorate (PhD) in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics, Simulation Sciences, or a related field

Experience

  • Professional experience with simulation software such as Ansys CFX, Fluent, or COMSOL
  • Desirable: Experience with hydrogels and microgels
