Job Summary

The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) is seeking a dedicated Doctoral Researcher to join their "Multi-Material Manufacturing Processes" department in Berlin-Steglitz. This role involves interdisciplinary collaboration to synthesize ceramic nanoparticles using methods like solvo-thermal synthesis, and to perform structural-analytical and optical-spectroscopic characterization. The successful candidate will also be involved in creating photo-curable feedstocks for light-based additive manufacturing processes such as Digital Light Processing (DLP) and Two-Photon Polymerization (2PP), contribute to a digitalization project, and supervise students. Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science

Experience

  • Experience in nanoparticle synthesis and surface modification
  • Experience in characterizing nanomaterials
  • Experience in additive manufacturing, ideally with light-based AM processes (DLP, 2PP) (advantageous)
  • Experience with ceramic process chain, slurry production, shaping, and sintering (advantageous)
