As a GIS Administrator, you will be the system owner for Geoinformation Systems, driving their development, administration, and maintenance, and ensuring system availability. Your role involves accurately capturing, processing, and providing spatial data internally and to external partners. Key responsibilities include administering and enhancing the geodata infrastructure and PostgreSQL databases, managing geodata, developing processing workflows, and supporting new GIS application implementations. You will also advise internal departments on GIS solutions and create maps and web applications for diverse user groups. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Geoinformatics, or a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or a comparable qualification with relevant practical experience.

  • Professional experience in GIS administration and geodatabase management (e.g., PostgreSQL, PostGIS)
  • Professional experience with Geoinformation Systems (e.g., QGIS, Mapserver, Geoserver)
