Job Summary
The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, a leading European center for fusion research, is seeking a talented and highly motivated PhD-level Physicist for a permanent position in Garching. This role focuses on advancing fusion energy by conducting gyrokinetic simulations of turbulent transport in the edge layer of fusion plasmas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the further development and experimental application of the GENE-X simulation code, integrating these activities into international projects and collaborations. This is an excellent opportunity for a physicist with strong knowledge in fusion plasma edge physics and experience with scientific software to contribute to cutting-edge research in a collaborative and supportive environment, aiming to develop fusion as a safe and inexhaustible energy source.
