Job Summary
The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its ITER Technology & Diagnostics (ITED) department in Garching, Germany. This role is crucial for supporting fusion research, focusing on the development of an inexhaustible and safe energy source. The successful candidate will be responsible for the seamless operation, innovative planning, and continuous modernization of highly complex high-frequency neutral particle heating systems and related electrical installations, including powerful power supplies. Key responsibilities also include the installation of advanced sensors, automation, simulation, and test stand supervision. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with leading research institutions and contribute to one of Germany's largest scientific and technical projects, working at the forefront of technological innovation.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, High-Voltage Engineering, High-Frequency Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
