Job Summary

This role is for a Quantitative Genetics Scientist who will be instrumental in optimizing and applying innovative predictive breeding tools for sugarbeet and cereal crops. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing data analytics and biostatistics support, ensuring breeding program success and accelerating genetic gain. Key tasks include performing quantitative genetic analyses, developing and automating data analysis pipelines, and collaborating with biostatistics and digital product development teams to implement cutting-edge methods. This position requires a passion for data analysis, experience with large datasets, and a drive to contribute to the development of superior crop varieties within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Required Skills

Education

Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences with a focus on Plant Breeding and Quantitative Genetics, Biostatistics, or equivalent

Experience

  • Few years of postgraduate experience in quantitative genetics or biostatistics
  • Experience with hybrid crops (advantageous)
