Job Summary

The Finance department for the Diocese of Aachen is seeking an Accountant to join their team in full-time, permanent employment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing annual financial statements according to HGB for various client structures within the Diocese, including consolidations. You will ensure data quality, manage reporting for internal and external stakeholders, prepare VAT pre-declarations and tax returns, and analyze/optimize workflows, especially concerning organizational and technical changes impacting financial statements. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant commercial education with a qualification as a Certified Accountant or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Taxation, coupled with several years of professional experience as an Accountant. Strong knowledge of German commercial and tax law, proficiency with financial software, and an analytical, independent working style are essential.
