Job Summary
This role involves supporting the "KI:connect.nrw" project, focusing on the administration of RWTHgpt and AI:connect infrastructure and related services. The successful candidate will plan, operate, and expand Linux-based applications within the Systems and Operations department, including the provision, maintenance, and monitoring of the GPT instance for RWTH and other universities in NRW. Key responsibilities include 2nd and 3rd level support for users, collaborating with other IT Center teams, and adapting documentation, organizing training, and performing updates. The position requires a proactive, service-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to IT administration.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a successfully completed internal IT-2 course or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in administration of current Linux distributions
- Professional experience in implementation and administration of Kubernetes and Podman
- Experience with vector databases (e.g., Qdrant)
- Experience with complex system and network environments under Linux
- Experience with shell and scripting languages
- Experience in supporting GPT and AI initiatives
- Experience with 2nd and 3rd level support
