Job Summary

This role involves supporting the state-wide KI:connect.nrw project, focusing heavily on the administration, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the RWTHgpt and associated AI infrastructure and services. The administrator will be responsible for planning, operating, and expanding Linux-based applications within the Systems and Operations department, ensuring the GPT instance is available for the RWTH and other universities in North Rhine-Westphalia. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, coupled with strong foundational knowledge in administering modern Linux distributions (like RHEL/Rocky Linux), Kubernetes, Podman, and experience with vector databases (e.g., Qdrant). The ideal candidate is motivated, service-oriented, and proficient in both German and English, ready to provide 2nd and 3rd level support and engage in continuous learning of new technologies.
