Job Summary

The RWTH Aachen University IT Center is seeking a dedicated IT System Administrator to join the Linux & Windows Applications team, focusing on Windows-based services. This role involves actively shaping IT projects, developing and expanding central IT infrastructures, and administering complex system environments, particularly those based on Microsoft technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include system monitoring, executing updates, troubleshooting, and managing emergencies, alongside developing and implementing IT security concepts. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent, possesses fundamental knowledge of network technologies and IT baseline protection, and has solid experience managing Windows-based infrastructure like Active Directory and Windows Server. Experience in scripting (PowerShell) and server configuration automation is highly valued.
