Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated professional to lead the Waste and Soil Protection Department within the Water Management and Coastal Protection Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing waste disposal, protecting soil and vital resources, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Key responsibilities include leading and organizing a team, coordinating tasks related to waste and soil protection authorities, evaluating complex legal cases, and managing personnel matters. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree (Diploma/FH or Bachelor) in General Administration/Public Administration, Administrative Business Administration/Public Management, Administrative Science, Public Administration, or Environmental Law; OR Completed advanced training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt); OR Completed degree (Diploma/FH or Bachelor or First State Examination) in Law.
Experience
- Professional experience in leading and managing staff
- Experience in coordinating tasks within waste and soil protection authorities
- Experience in evaluating complex legal cases in soil protection and waste law
- Experience in personnel matters, including creating job descriptions and conducting employee reviews
- Experience in coordinating departmental statements for planning and building permit procedures
- Experience in developing uniform guidelines for technical staff
- Experience in implementing and updating waste law supervision concepts
- Experience in building and administering specialist applications

- Eligibility for civil servant status (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt, Fachrichtung „Allgemeine Dienste“) is a plus
