Job Summary

This permanent, full-time public sector role seeks a qualified specialist to manage and execute critical nature conservation tasks within the Nature Conservation Office. The primary responsibility involves developing comprehensive written Maintenance and Development Plans (PEPL) for protected areas and ecologically valuable regions. Day-to-day duties include the administration of county-owned conservation lands, which encompasses assessing land suitability for purchase or lease, monitoring compliance with lease agreements, and processing applications for property tax exemptions. Furthermore, the specialist will be responsible for revising and establishing new conservation regulations, such as protected area ordinances and natural monuments, and planning the deployment of maintenance teams. The role also requires handling forestry authority tasks, including providing consultation on forest matters and managing land acquisition for afforestation projects. Candidates must hold a relevant degree in fields like Landscape Planning, Biology, or Forestry Science, possess excellent botanical and zoological species knowledge, and be proficient in ArcGIS, alongside C1 level German skills.
