Job Summary

As a Senior Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) for the Diocese of Aachen, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial accounting in accordance with commercial, ecclesiastical, and secular regulations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing annual financial statements under HGB (German GAAP), managing balance sheet consolidations, and ensuring high data quality through the oversight of organizational units. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Tax Clerk (Steuerfachangestellte:r), Degree in Finance (Diplom-Finanzwirt), or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Tax, or Auditing, combined with a certified qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience as a Senior Accountant or Bilanzbuchhalter.
  • Proven experience in preparing annual financial statements according to HGB.
  • Experience in managing balance sheet consolidations and tax reporting.
  • Professional experience in analyzing and optimizing financial workflows and organizational processes.
