Job Summary

The Thünen Institute for Fisheries Ecology is seeking a dedicated Research Associate to join a project focused on the ecology, distribution, and conservation of diadromous fish species in Germany. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive data research, manage biological databases, and perform biostatistical analyses to identify knowledge gaps. You will also lead field-based marking experiments using acoustic transmitters and PIT tags, conduct laboratory examinations, and develop management strategies for protected fish species. Required Skills

Education

  • Experience in data processing, biostatistics, and database maintenance
  • Experience with fish marking and telemetry is highly desirable
