Job Summary

This role involves working within the KRIKO-BE research project at the Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) to develop scalable, AI-driven crisis communication systems. You will be responsible for implementing speech-to-text, LLM, and text-to-speech pipelines, integrating vector databases for RAG systems, and developing interfaces for VoIP and backend services. A significant portion of your day-to-day work will involve deploying and monitoring applications within Kubernetes clusters and conducting rigorous end-to-end testing for functionality, latency, and stability. This position is unique as it bridges academic research with practical software engineering, contributing to serious games and VR-based training scenarios for emergency organizations. You will collaborate closely with a network of Berlin-based universities to build robust, real-world solutions.
