Job Summary

This permanent position is based at the Laboratory for Medical Radiation Physics and Imaging within the Berlin University of Technology. As a Laboratory Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily laboratory operations, supervising student laboratory exercises, and exercising radiation protection authority over laboratory users. You will play a critical role in supporting research and development projects, maintaining radioactive inventory, and managing the procurement and maintenance of specialized equipment. A key part of the role involves technical and organizational supervision of student theses and the development of teaching materials. This position is ideal for a communicative professional who enjoys explaining complex technical concepts to students and collaborating within a diverse academic environment. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Medical Physics or Medical Engineering with a focus on ionizing radiation. Radiation protection certification (Fachkundenachweis) is preferred.

  • Proven experience in radiation physics as a basis for radiation protection competence
