Job Summary

This role involves managing the daily operations of the Materials Testing Laboratory at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (BHT). As a Laboratory Engineer, you will support faculty in conducting courses and instruct students on the operation of specialized machinery for materials analysis. Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing mechanical-technological tests, metallography, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) while ensuring the maintenance and safety of lab equipment. You will also assist in the development of new experimental setups and support students with their final theses. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Engineering with a focus on Materials Science/Technology, or qualification as a Technical Assistant for Metallography/Materials Analysis.

Experience

  • Professional experience in metallography and the use of scanning electron microscopes
