Job Summary

As an International Officer at the University of Konstanz, you will play a pivotal role in supporting international degree-seeking students. Your day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating non-academic support services, providing guidance on administrative and legal matters such as residence permits and insurance, and managing student scholarship programs. You will also be responsible for developing online information resources, organizing orientation events, and drafting grant proposals for third-party funding. This role requires a strong background in student advising, excellent intercultural communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external authorities. The position is unique as it offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, research-focused university environment, engaging daily with a diverse international community while contributing to the strategic development of international student services.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (or equivalent scientific university degree) required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in student advising, preferably within a university setting
  • Experience in providing support to international clientele
  • Experience in drafting grant proposals, specifically in the international sector
  • Proven experience with IT systems and databases
  • Demonstrated experience living or working abroad
