Job Summary

The Institute for Clinical Genetics and Genomic Medicine at the University Hospital Würzburg is seeking a PhD Candidate or Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary team focused on the 'Cancer Predisposition Syndrome (CPS) Compass' pilot project. This role is part of the EU-funded Joint Action on Personalized Cancer Medicine, involving 145 institutions across 29 countries. The successful candidate will contribute to evaluating the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of a 'genotype-first' approach to cancer predisposition diagnostics in pediatric and young adult populations, as well as identifying strategies to improve access to genetic counseling. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing studies, implementing research strategies, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing scientific publications and reports. Postdoctoral applicants will also lead project coordination and grant writing.
