Job Summary

This PhD position at the University Hospital Würzburg offers a unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering. As part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center TRR 225, you will focus on the controlled differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells within novel 3D cell cultures and hydrogel-based tissue models, specifically targeting cartilage regeneration. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve applying advanced bioprinting techniques, performing molecular and cellular biological analyses (such as gene/protein expression, histology, and biochemical assays), and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of material scientists and clinicians.
