Job Summary

The Thünen Institute is seeking a Research Associate to join the 'Monitoring of Biodiversity in Agricultural Landscapes (MonViA)' project at their Braunschweig location. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional management, processing, and provision of large-scale scientific data. Your day-to-day work will involve developing data catalogs and pipelines, advancing the use of AI for scientific data delivery, and engineering data infrastructure. The position requires a strong background in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, along with technical proficiency in data infrastructure, machine learning frameworks, and database management. This role is unique as it offers the opportunity to contribute to significant national biodiversity monitoring efforts within a public research environment, providing a balance of technical challenge and societal impact.
