Job Summary

The Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) is seeking a Team Lead for their Communication Standard Services (CSS) unit. In this role, you will manage a team of nine employees and two dual-study students, overseeing the organization's critical IT infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing network infrastructure (LAN/WLAN, VPN, Firewalls), central services (DNS, DHCP, RADIUS), and communication platforms like ZoomX. You will also oversee directory services, cloud solutions, and server environments. A key part of the role involves strategic development, lifecycle management, and ensuring the security and stability of the infrastructure through modern approaches like Zero-Trust. You will collaborate closely with other IT teams and external service providers to deliver high-quality IT services.
