Job Summary

The Max Rubner-Institut is seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer to join the National Reference Center for Authentic Food (NRZ-Authent) at their Karlsruhe location. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of NMR spectrometers to analyze food authenticity. Your daily tasks will include planning and conducting NMR measurements, developing and validating new analytical methods, and performing statistical data evaluation. You will also coordinate laboratory activities, guide junior staff and students, and ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety standards. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in instrumental analysis who enjoys working with complex, high-precision equipment. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a comparable qualification in a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in instrumental analysis
  • 3+ years of professional experience in instrumental analysis (preferred)
  • Practical experience with NMR spectroscopy and related software (preferred)
  • Experience in maintenance of analytical instrumentation (preferred)
  • Experience in sample preparation techniques such as solid-phase extraction (preferred)
  • Experience in quality management and data documentation (preferred)
